For two years, Welcoming Fort Wayne and several community partners have come together for to honor exceptional immigrant and refugee individuals and immigrant-providers during national Welcoming Week

 

Through the successful collaboration of 16 organizations including churches, non-profits, the City of Fort Wayne, Purdue University-Fort Wayne, and Fort Wayne Community Schools, 6 individuals and 2 organizations were recognized for their commitment to immigrants/refugees on Sept. 19, 2019.   

These 16 collaborating organizations included:

  • Friends of the Third World

  • Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership

  • Purdue University Fort Wayne

  • St. Joseph Community Health Foundation

  • Welcoming Fort Wayne

  • Wellspring Interfaith Social Services

  • YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne
